Our research has produced global leaders in oral care and dry mouth products, among other premier offerings.We are looking for an experienced Compounder/Blender for a full-time position. The Compounder/Blender will be responsible for various duties necessary to produce personal care products. We are looking for some to staff our second shift, an 8 hour shift, with a start time of 2:00 pm and an ending time of 10:30 pm.
As a Compounder/Blender you will work closely with the Compounding Lead and the Production Manager, utilizing your skills and experience to ensure production dates are met for delivery, compounding operates according to all SOP’s, follow GMP procedures and requirements, and work under all departmental health and safety guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow Formulations and Processing procedures as required by production to create batches according to each order's specifications and timelines.
- Compound efficiently focusing on task and monitoring color and consistency of a batch to determine whether ingredients are blended according to specifications.
- Clean equipment and entire work area as per procedures established by the company.
- Contribute to a productive and cooperative atmosphere, show commitment to team objectives, handle day-to-day work challenges, and manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Routinely monitor pace and accuracy of blending activities. Uses basic knowledge of chemical reactions to produce good quality batches and/or address errors as needed.
- Read, understand & follow all batching instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), ensuring all batch sheets are completed properly.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all phases of work while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow QC and sampling procedures as detailed by production manuals.
- Maintaining Logbooks and document work effectively and accurately & completely fill out all required paperwork, including batch sheets.
- Maintain a safe working environment, utilize appropriate safety equipment. Ensure good housekeeping throughout shift.
- Responsible for the safe operation of forklift, material handling equipment and all required equipment for batch production within the work area.
- Promote a positive & productive team environment- lead by example.
- Visually inspect the product for quality, including but not limited to, the product label, appearance, correct components (cap) and cleanliness, etc.
- Adherence to all safety protocols.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ Years Chemical Compounding/Blending Experience.
- Be able to use all required garments and safety equipment as required by SOP's and GMP's.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be detailed and team always oriented.
- Be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- Be able to regularly climb ladders and stairs.
- Starting Base Salary: $20.00 - 25.00 per hour (depending upon experience).
